Dr. Chandra Bathina is a compassionate veterinarian with more than 10 years of experience in veterinary medicine. Dr. Bathina graduated from SVVU, India and moved to the US with a motivation to practice evidence-based veterinary medicine. In the process, he graduated with a master’s degree from Marshall university, WV and PhD in physiology with concentration in neuroscience from UNTHSC in Fort Worth. Dr. Bathina has published peer-reviewed publications and is a recipient of prestigious “Van Harreveld memorial award” from American physiological Society for his research work.
With the motivation to improve the lives of pets and their families, Dr. Bathina cleared all the board exams simultaneously while pursuing PhD, to practice veterinary medicine in the US. He practiced quality veterinary medicine at various small animal practices over DFW and treated more than 6000 pets per year. His interests include preventive medicine, evidence – based treatment, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, internal medicine and dermatology. He keeps himself versed with latest diagnostics and therapies through continuing education.
Dr. Bathina took over ABC Veterinary Clinic of Lewisville in 2020 and he is very excited to add his level of expertise, high standard of patient care, and outstanding customer service. He aspires to provide his clients, pets and the community a place they can trust for genuine care for their 4 legged extended family. He strongly believes in quality care for pets and in being available to his patients when needed.
Dr. Bathina is married to his better-half Anu and has a son and a daughter. He enjoys spending quality time with his family. His family are big fans of Dallas Cowboys and enjoy watching Cowboys play. In his spare time, he likes watching movies and football. He looks forward to helping you and your furry family!
